Q: How does it compare to the ET?

A: Both are cageguided and share the same basic design. The ED covers higher pressure classes and generally uses heavier wall sections and different trim materials. The ET is fine for most generalpurpose throttling; the ED is what you spec when the pressure rating starts to matter more than the price tag.

Q: Which industries use it?

A: Oil and gas, petrochemicals, refining, chemical processing, power generation - basically anywhere you have highpressure steam, hydrocarbon feeds, or other tough services where a valve that leaks or sticks is not an option.
