Fisher Valve Positioner
What is Fisher valve positioners

A control valve can still be operating, yet the process no longer feels as stable as it once did. Operators make more adjustments, maintenance checks become more frequent, and the valve seems to need a little more attention every year.
This is part of why valve positioners are so widely used. They help the valve stay aligned with the control signal, even when operating conditions are no longer exactly the same as before. In everyday operation, they usually don’t draw much attention. But when something is off, the change in valve response becomes noticeable quite quickly.
That is why valve positioners are used across refineries, chemical plants, power stations, water treatment facilities, and many other process industries where stable control is expected every day.

Typical Applications of Fisher Positioners

Precise Process Control
Fisher positioners help keep control valves stable by correcting their position when process conditions shift or when friction starts to affect movement. In practice, they’re used in a wide range of plants, including oil & gas, chemical production, power generation, and water treatment

Severe Service & Safety Applications
Designed with linkage-less feedback, corrosion-resistant housings, and explosion-proof certifications, Fisher positioners perform reliably under vibration, extreme temperatures, and hazardous conditions. Models such as the DVC6200 SIS support partial stroke testing and meet SIL 3 requirements for safety instrumented systems.

Diagnostic-Driven Maintenance
Smart positioners (e.g., FIELDVUE series) monitor valve friction, travel deviation, supply pressure, and response time online. Off-line signature tests provide full performance curves. These data enable condition-based maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime.

Century Weiye : Your Leading Fisher Valve Positioner Supplier in China!
Century Weiye (Dalian) Control Equipment Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019 and is located in Dalian, China. We focus on the supply and service of industrial valves and automation control equipment, serving customers across the global process industry for many years.
Our founding team previously worked for Fisher's China office for a long time. This experience gave us a wealth of practical knowledge. FAQ
Q: Are you a supplier of Fisher valve positioners?
A: Yes. In addition to Fisher products, we also supply other brands and spare parts.
Q: What is the difference between a valve positioner and a standard control valve?
A: A standard control valve follows the control signal directly, but in real operation its movement is not always perfect. A positioner is used when that response needs to be tighter and more stable, especially when conditions or friction start to affect how the valve moves.
Q: What are the practical uses of the diagnostic data provided by a smart positioner?
A: Maintenance teams mainly use it to see if a valve is starting to behave differently from normal. A slow increase in friction or a longer response time usually gets attention first. From there, they decide whether to inspect the valve or keep it in operation.
Q: Can the feedback unit of the DVC6200 be replaced on site?
A: Yes. The DVC6200 features a modular design. The feedback unit, I/P converter, pneumatic amplifier, and main board can all be replaced on site without returning the unit to the factory. After replacement, an auto-calibration must be performed. It is recommended that this be carried out by qualified instrument personnel.
