Fisher 1051 Pneumatic Spring Return Diaphragm Rotary Actuator

The 1051 runs on-off duty without a positioner. Add a FIELDVUE DVC or 3610 positioner and it becomes a throttling unit. Style H fits non-Fisher equipment with a double D flat shaft. Style J fits Fisher keyed-shaft butterfly valves through a coupling. Fail-open and fail close builds are available.

• The spring is set at the factory and stays fixed. There is no field adjustment point to drift.
• One-joint linkage with a splined and clamped lever cuts lost motion between rod and shaft.
• The enclosed housing and casings keep dust and process spray away from the moving joint.
• Valve packing can be adjusted with the actuator in place, without removing actuator parts.
• One turnbuckle sets the closed position. Four mounting positions fit standard valve layouts.
• Four standard diaphragm ranges: 0 to 18, 0 to 33, 0 to 40, and 0 to 55 psi.
• Optional upper and lower travel stops limit rotation to 75 or 60 degrees. Size 33 has integral stops for 60 degrees.
• NBR diaphragm for -40 to 82 C (-40 to 180 F); silicone for -40 to 149 C (-40 to 300 F).

The 1051 and 1052 share the same diaphragm and lever design, so these applications apply to both.

Is the 1051 single acting or double- cting?

Single acting. Air loads one side of the diaphragm and the spring returns the stem. For double acting duty, use a piston type rotary actuator.

What is the difference between the 1051 and 1052?

The 1051 spring is fixed at the factory. The 1052 has an adjustable spring seat, adds size 70, and on some services can throttle without a positioner.

What do Style H and Style J mean?

H is the bracket and double-D flat-shaft interface for non-Fisher equipment. J is the keyed-shaft coupling for Fisher butterfly valves. F and G on size 33 cover splined shafts.
